Sinopsis

“The Once bread and basket of India, Punjab is today deeply affected by drugs and alcohol. So rather than be known as the land of 'Five Rivers' where it got its name from it is known as the land of 'The Sixth River':The river of Alcohol and drugs.The film 'Chhevan Dariya' traverses the journey of an American girl Carrie (Christa Cannon) into the anatomy of this very land. Tough she knows the condition of the land she wants to see a solution to it.The journey of a Sociology professor Deedar Singh (Gulshan Grover) is similar to Carrie's Journey he reflects on the fact that a complete loss of leadership in a land results into this kind of situation. Both the journeys of these individuals lead the audience to discover all together a new 'Sixth River'. ”
